Why is Finland the happiest country in the world? You’ll find some of the answers in my article about Finland.

The President and Prime Minister of Finland have finally decided to join NATO forces on behalf of the Finnish people without delay.

The membership means strengthening Finland’s security and the entire defense alliance.

But the Kremlin had openly stated its response to the membership as a threat to Russia and would trigger retaliatory steps.

Finland is so close to my heart, and the thought of Putin’s threats to strengthen nuclear weapons in the Baltic gave shivers down my spine.

I thought of my husband’s relatives, friends, colleagues, neighbors, acquaintances, and all the Finns I met along the way.

What are their thoughts right now?

Is the war in Ukraine causing them to feel insecure? Most importantly, is the threat from Putin making them scared and unsure of the future?

However, Finland’s reputation of putting its people’s best welfare first in every decision they make, I am confident that the decision made is for the good of the nation and the world as a whole.

What do you think? Will Finland still be the happiest country in the world?

Time will tell.

I'll leave you with a quote by Ernest Hemingway for you to ponder:

“Never think that war, no matter how necessary, nor how justified, is not a crime”.

I wish you well.
