A poem of a lost soul.
Heart engulfed with emptiness,
longing for the warmth of its embrace.
Memories of a joyful, fun childhood,
where love and care overflowed.
Home is where the heart is.
Eyes close to reminisce,
the sand underneath the feet.
The sea breeze feels through the skin,
sounds of waves hitting the shore.
Home is where the soul rejoices.
Children’s laughter echoes in the air,
mothers’ contented smiles beam.
Troubles and worries forgotten,
the simplicity of life bears happiness.
Home, full of affection and kindness.
Eyes blinded by the sad tears,
goodbyes, and farewells uttered.
Bone cracking hugs so tight,
reassurance of a hopeful beginning.
Home, but where sorrow is feeling.
Challenges came and gone,
life away is easier said than done.
Soul searching reached its end
of what life truly is and its meaning.
Home, there is a sense of belonging.
