My Little Girl

A poem dedicated to my daughter.

You came without warning.
With nausea and a weird feeling.
I thought I was struck by a virus
But it was only you growing.

You surprised us but not fright
Like a thief sneaking in the night.
A seed of love slowly in sight
Like a small bump that looks just right.
