Talking about illicit drugs to your children can be daunting and often overwhelming. Parents must remember that children of any age require honest and accurate information about drugs to make informed decisions when facing peer pressure and other risky situations.

Whether they are still young or old enough to understand more complex information, it's important to approach the topic in an open and non-judgmental manner so that your children feel comfortable discussing the issue with you.

Ask questions such as "What do you know about drugs?" or "How do you think they could affect your health?" This will help to get a dialogue going rather than lecturing them on the topic.

Encourage your children to ask questions throughout the conversation without criticism. This allows them to express their thoughts, feelings, and experiences with drugs. It also allows parents to understand better how their children think about drugs.

As parents, we always want our children to understand the risks of using drugs while still being positive and supportive of our approach. Showing your support…
