In the modern world, teenagers are growing up at a faster rate than ever before. With increased access to technology and the internet, many teenagers today have more independence than their parents did at the same age. While autonomy can be beneficial in many ways, it is also crucial to remember that it can be just as dangerous when teenagers have too much or too little.

Too much independence can lead to unwanted risks and poor decision-making. With parental guidance and supervision, teens may make informed decisions regarding drugs and alcohol, peer pressure, and other risky behaviors.

They may also be more likely to become involved in criminal activities without understanding the full consequences of their actions. In addition, without any boundaries, they might spend too much time on social media or gaming instead of focusing on school or developing critical skills or hobbies.

On the other hand, too little independence can also have adverse effects on teenage development. Without the freedom to make their own choices, teens may become overly dependent on others for advice which could be detrimental in the long run as they grow into adulthood.
